The LS 500h is quintessentially Lexus. Be it the front fascia, with the spindle grill flanked by triple barrel LED headlamps and swoosh-like DRLs, that is reminiscent of the NX 300h SUV. Or the side profile of this 5.2 metre-long sedan, that flaunts a neat coupe-like roofline, which merges seamlessly into the tail. The wraparound split tail lamps which flank that trapezoidal number plate housing at the back, complete the look.

Lexus will not leave any stone unturned to mark its presence in the super luxury sedan segment and hence, expect the LS 500h to carry a long list of equipment. It is expected to get features such as 28-way adjustable electric front seats with heating, cooling and massage functions, rear seats with a 48-degree recline function and adaptive variable air suspension system with rapid height adjustment. It may also get a 23-speaker, 2,400-watt Mark Levinson sound system and a four-zone climate control.

The LS 500h is likely to be powered by a combination of a 3.5-litre V6 petrol and two electric motors with a combined out of 355PS. The power will be transmitted by an e-CVT gearbox. However, it remains to be seen if the Japanese manufacturer brings the RWD or the E-Four all-wheel-drive version of the LS 500h in India.
